No. relay works on a stock, unrooted Android phone. It builds a WireGuard tunnel between the phone and the Windows PC over USB or Wi-Fi, so the phone shares its mobile data or Wi-Fi connection with the computer without any system-level modification.

No. There is no relay server and no account. The encrypted tunnel is established directly between your phone and your PC on your own network, so nobody in the middle sees or stores your traffic.

Ordinary tethering depends on the carrier and the phone vendor allowing it, and it is often throttled or blocked. relay works at the tunnel level instead, so it keeps working where built-in tethering is disabled — and the link is encrypted end to end.

relay targets Windows 10 and Windows 11. The installer is published on the GitHub releases page; the desktop side is written in C# and the tunnel layer in Go.
